In its first years,the members made the Board of Directors meetings in the Parana Comercial Center Salloons.

In 1976, the social sedestarted to be built with very much effort in the corner of Santos Dominguez St. and Pacto de Union Nacional St., and the construction was finally finished in 1979.

At first, a nursery worked there, later two Kindergarden fron Juan B. Teheran School and finally a Health Center depending on the Provincial Government.

From the beginning the members of the club has been developing a human and noble mission to SERVE the most needy, to such stage that they gained the steem and recognition of the City and Region.

How many different sceneries of politic, economic and society the members of Parana Lions Club "PARQUE URQUIZA" lived and are living, and in that living together we always keep, and sometimes not so easily, the unique worthy convoking objective of women and men Who form of Leonism: "THE SERVING".

Our Club has come over fatality, the death of many members of our jungle in an accident in our way to a National assembly in Mendoza City, on May 21St, 1999.

In that accident a vital part of our club has gone away. It was a hard strike for all of us, and it was difficult to go on, but our spirit of service remained firm, and like a Fenix bird we arised from ashes, we go on incorporating new members, increasing our Leonistic family, strenghening our Club and being sure that if that terrible impact couldn’t weaken us, neither the actual economy nor the government could do it.

Great aims have been achieved and many others will be carried out, with the incorporation of the youthsand their renewed spirit of service. They will burn the flame that we once lighted in this Hearth of Wll that is Leonism.We are eternally grateful to those who have cooperated and are cooperating with us along all these years. They have helped us to keep on saying and thinking that "WE SERVE".
